APC News & Updates

Certification Interviews – APC/BCCI completed over 260 certification interviews for candidates that submitted their completed applications by the summer 2020 deadline.  The volume of applicants and the nature of virtual certification interviews presented new challenges for APC, candidates and committee members but the process was a success.  The BCCI Commission on Certification will be reviewing this new certification interview model in the coming months and new guidelines will be developed for future interviews.  Thank you to all the volunteers that helped make the process a success.

Special Interest Groups – Beginning in 2021, APC will be starting regularly scheduled Special Interest Group (S.I.G.) virtual calls.  Please keep an eye out for future communications regarding these calls in the coming weeks.

Support Calls – With the increased surge of COVID-19 cases around the United States, APC is continuing to hold regular Professional Community Support Calls for APC members.  Participants on these calls can claim one hour of Continuing Education for each call they participate in.  These calls are dedicated to helping APC members talk, grieve, share resources, and best practices related to the COVID-19 pandemic.  To see the call schedule, view the EVENTS page and be sure to register to attend.

Volunteer with APC – APC is seeking volunteers to participate on APC Committees and to serve as State Representatives and State Continuing Education Chairs.  For a full list of volunteer positions and opportunities, please see this article for a detailed list of opportunities.
