BCCI News & Updates August 2020

Certification Interviews – APC has recently completed 82 Chaplaincy Certification Interviews via virtual/remote service.  These certification committee meetings were previously scheduled to take place in regional locations but were postponed and rescheduled to take place online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.  Initial feedback from these interviews has been largely positive and APC staff will be reviewing candidate and committee feedback to refine the process going forward.
Certification Applications – APC has to-date received more than 260 applications for certification for the July 31 ,2020 deadline.  Due to delays in the U.S. postal service we are expecting more applications that have been post-dated prior to the application deadline.  We ask for patience as our team reviews each of these applications.

Newly Certified Celebration – Early in July, APC sent newly certified chaplains their certificates along with an invitation to participate in a virtual celebration to be held as part of the APC Annual Membership Meeting.  Unfortunately, due to delays in the postage service, many of these certificates did not arrive until just recently and ome may still be on their way to them.  Good News – There is still time to send us your photos.
