This free self-paced online course is suitable for individuals and groups. It offers the opportunity to engage with carefully selected resources and texts from both the Jewish tradition and contemporary approaches to caring for individuals and communities in need. Featuring case scenarios and role play exercises, this program also offers opportunities to build critical listening skills and participate in guided reflection. Participants will gain knowledge of Jewish language, tradition and values related to bikkur holim, including its spiritual, psychological and communal basis. Acquire competence in providing bikkur holim and confidence to serve as leaders of effective and sustainable congregation-based bikkur holim committees. Title: Masters Degree in Jewish Education
Location: 1-year online, with 6 Weeks in Jerusalem
Deepen your understanding of biblical texts and how to better engage others when teaching religion. The M.A. Jewish Education program offered at the Melton Center of Jewish Education in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem has been designed for educators in both formal and informal frameworks who are interested in Jewish Education and its dialogue with the Social Sciences, Educational Philosophy, and Jewish and Israel Education. This is a 1 year program, where two semesters are taught online via distance learning and a 6 week summer semester in Jerusalem. The program is affordable and taught all in English.
