Submit a Webinar Proposal

The Education Committee is accepting proposals for APC Professional Education Webinars for 2023 and beyond. There have been requests for webinars that take the next step beyond an overview of the basics and push us into new, more in-depth or more challenging areas of education and reflection.

Proposals for the webinars may be submitted anytime for future consideration.

In our last member survey, APC members expressed the need for accessible, affordable continuing education opportunities. We hope that you will assist us fulfilling this need by presenting an APC webinar to your colleagues.

Thank you for willingness to share your gifts with your professional colleagues. As a token of APC’s appreciation, the main presenter will receive an honorarium of $150 for a 90-minute webinar or $400 for a 4-hour virtual PDI.

To submit a proposal, please click the button above and fill out the online form.

About Webinars

A “webinar” is simply a seminar in which the PowerPoint presentation and other materials are delivered via the Internet, and the presenter’s voice is delivered via phone conference call. If you’re not familiar with webinars, not to worry; APC staff will schedule a demonstration and orientation session with you.

Harvard Business Review offers presenters helpful advice, tools and tips in this webinar, Mastering Remote Presentations.

The following is a brief summary of how the APC webinar will work:

Your webinar presentation should be roughly 75-80 minutes, with about 10 minutes of Q&A, for a total of 90 minutes for a webinar and roughly 3.5 hours, with about 30 minutes for Q&A for a 4-hour virtual PDI session. The Q&A could be left for the end, or questions could be taken periodically during the program.

To present the webinar, all you need is a phone, an Internet connection and access to either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. In addition to showing your PowerPoint slide presentation, the webinar platform can conduct a live poll of the audience, and show documents, spreadsheets, video clips and more. The APC staff and webinar vendor will assist you with any technical questions you may have. They will be online with you during the presentation to ensure all runs smoothly.
