Announcing the APC 2021 Virtual Conference
This last year has challenged and changed us in more ways than one. And while I have personally felt overwhelmed at times, I’ve also been encouraged by the human spirit’s drive to stay authentically connected in new ways. It is in this spirit that we are planning APC’s first virtual annual conference to be held June 10-12, 2021.
As we look forward to celebrating 75 years as a professional organization, our virtual experience will still incorporate all the traditional elements of our conference like PDI’s, plenary speakers, workshops, and worship, with new ways to visit the exhibit hall or participate in an excursion. The planning committee’s goal is that throughout our time together, we are invited to reflect on our rich history, given space to pause and acknowledge our present reality, and encouraged to innovate for our future.
While we long for the day when we can gather in person safely again, we expect this virtual conference will allow some of our members, who have previously been limited in travel resources and time, the opportunity to participate. I choose to see this as a silver lining and can’t wait to connect with colleagues near and far!
More details to come regarding registration and highlighting our plenary speakers. Until then, stay safe and accept my gratitude for the ways in which you are serving your community. I celebrate you.
Peace,
