APC Adds New Member Benefits

Dear Members,

APC recently added the Journal of Pastoral Care & Counseling to our expanding list of member benefits but our new partnership with The Journal of Pastoral Care Publications (JPCP) brings you access to more than just that journal.  JPCP has been advancing theory and professional practice in our field through scholarly and reflective publications for over 25 years and as has also made excellent digital publications, especially blog posts and podcasts, now all available to APC members as part of your membership.

The Journal of Pastoral Care Publications, and their partners the World Council of Churches (WCC), and the Interfaith Health Program of Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health (IHP) are encouraging the Association of Professional Chaplains’ members to contribute to, or just learn from, the new JPCP, WCC & IHP initiative featured on the JPCP website, “COVID-19: Global Reflections on Faith, Health, and Justice.” Click here (https://jpcp.org/medium/covid-19) for written theological and spiritual reflections on COVID-19 from ministers, theologians, chaplains and pastoral counselors from around the world. There is also a fantastic video series with interviews that discuss the racial and economic disparities highlighted by the global pandemic. To discuss publishing a written reflection through JPCP, IHP, and the World Council of Churches, email the JPCP President, Rev. Dr. Beth Toler, at president@jpcp.org.

To learn more about JPCP check out https://jpcp.org. The international resources through the World Council of Churches partnership are under the “Covid-19” tab. You might also enjoy the materials under the other tabs for blog, books, and podcasts.  For access to this journal you will need to first login to your APC account via the www.apchaplains.org website, then select APC Member Journal Access

Please feel free to connect with JPCP on social media to be the first to know when new journal articles, books, blog posts, and podcast episodes are released. Twitter and Facebook are @jpcpdotorg, and our LinkedIn page is https://www.linkedin.com/company/jpcpdotorg.

We hope you enjoy these JPCP member benefits brought to you by APC,

Joe Perez, President
Association of Professional Chaplains
